Mzimba District Mourns the Loss of Football Advocate Othaniel Hara. By Ephraim Mkali Banda

In Simon Hara village, Mzimba District, a heartfelt ceremony was held for Othaniel Hara, who had once led the Football Association of Malawi (FAM). 

Hara had a strong reputation for his work in football and dedication to helping his community, and he tragically passed away in a car accident when his vehicle overturned near Edundu in Mzimba on Saturday evening.

Many respected individuals came to the gathering, showing how deeply Hara’s life and work had touched others. 

Among those present were Minister of Defence Harry Mkandawire, former Vice-President and Freedom Party president Khumbo Kachali, current FAM vice-president Lameck Khonje, and former FAM president Walter Nyamilandu Manda. 

Hara, who died when his vehicle overturned at Edundu in Mzimba on Saturday evening, is set to be buried later this afternoon.
